Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onions over low to medium heat until they soften.
Add the meat and cook it over medium heat.
Add the spices and continue cooking until the meat is fully cooked.
Add the nuts, mix them with the meat, and cook for 5 minutes. remove it from heat.
Stuff the qatayef with a teaspoon of meat filling, close it and brush it with oil on all sides.
bake it in an oven at 200c until it browns on both sides.
serve it with minted yoghurt sauce or with pomegranate molasses.
